What is Latency?
The delay before the agent starts replying.
Latency on a voice call is the gap between the caller finishing and the agent beginning to speak. It accumulates across speech recognition, model inference, and speech synthesis. Beyond roughly a second, callers start talking over the agent because they assume it did not hear them.
