What is PSTN?
The traditional switched telephone network.
The Public Switched Telephone Network is the legacy circuit-switched system that carried calls before IP. Most calls today traverse both: a mobile or landline caller reaches the PSTN, and a gateway hands the call to an IP network for the rest of the journey.
